I'm ready!

I've been looking for possibly another vehicle with more room. I had a Nissan Maxima and loved it. I had to have one at the time. It was very sporty, yet luxurious, but the tires were very expensive, having to get new ones at 25K miles, and the steering was difficult. It usually took me two tries to get it parked. It was all due to it being sporty. It was hard to haul things as well. It had a nice trunk, but you couldn't get too much past the opening. We tried dealing locally and we always do. I guess we think one day they will give us a good deal. HA! We went to Houston yesterday morning to the same dealer that we bought my Maxima from. The traffic was great and it was such a beautiful day. On the way there we passed a Pathfinder and Robert asked what I thought about it. I told him I liked them, but I bet they get bad gas mileage being a SUV. We were going to look at Muranos. We got there and immediately went to look at gas mileage on the Pathfinder and it very close to what I got in my car. I test drove one and was impressed. We really were wanting something in the cross over, SUV line, because we need something to haul the boat. Robert has a truck that is diesel and it's costing about $5 a gallon these days and going up. Last weekend we went to the lake in it and it gets horrible gas mileage. We used 2 tanks of gas just to drive about 300 miles all together. I don't even want to know how much that cost! We we got a great deal on a Pathfinder and I think I'll be happy with it. It alreay is fixed up to haul a trailer, too! I've never drove a SUV, so it's all new to me. It's got so much room and I'm really ready to haul things around- like a little girl! We were done with all the paper work around 2:00 (5 hours later!), so we decided to head to the Kemah boardwalk, because we were close. Our favorite restaurant is Salt Grass and they have one with a beautiful view of Galveston Bay. It was a beautiful day and I think everyone else and their grandma was in Kemah, too. We had a great meal, great time, and were home before dark in our new ride. I still have another day off and that makes today so much better!
